All-Chelsea Award this Monday Night

The 13th Annual “All-Chelsea Awards” will be presented this upcoming Monday night, Oct. 27, to nine individuals and entities that have improved the lives of local residents and enhanced the city’s overall civic standing. The public is invited to attend the ceremony at City Hall or watch the proceedings live on Chelsea Cable Television, beginning at 6 p.m. Headlining the awards program is the selection of Superintendent Mary Bourque as the Lifetime Achievement award winner.  Bourque has been a Chelsea teacher, assistant principal, principal, deputy superintendent, and is completing her third year as superintendent. CHS Roundup Red Devils rout Charlestown, 57-6 The Chelsea High football team put it all together for the second time in its last three outings with a 57-6 rout of Charlestown Friday evening at the local Stadium. Just as they had done two weeks ago in a 41-6 romp over Minuteman Regional, the Red Devils asserted control of the contest from the outset, piling up a 27-0 lead after one period and never looking back. A Charlestown fumble on the second play of the game was recovered by sophomore defensive end Muktar Mhammed, setting up the Red Devil offense at the CHS 45. Neil ‘Neilsie’ Penn Of West Roxbury and Revere Neil “Neilsie” Penn of West Roxbury and Revere passed away peacefully on October 17 after a brief illness. He was 44 years old. He was the cherished and beloved son of Richard and Catherine (Belinfante) Penn of Revere and was adored by his sister Marcy Mucci and her husband, Brian. He is survived by one nephew, Nicholas Mucci, all of Revere.
