Metro North Regional Plan Can Work Well For Everett

It was great to see the positive partnering of Everett Mayor Carlo DiMaria Jr. and State Sen. Sal DiDomenico who attended the recent regional conference led by state Housing and Economic Development Secretary Greg Bialecki. Our Mayor and Senator seemed to be favorably impressed by Bialecki’s plan to have local officials band together to develop a regional land use plan for nine cities and towns in this area. The newly named region is “Metro North” and in addition in Everett, the other communities are Revere, Chelsea, Charlestown, Winthrop, Malden, Melrose, Somerville, and East Boston.
