City Receives Christmas Tree Donations from Residents

Mayor Carlo DeMaria was happy to once again accept a donation of a beautiful pine tree to be used for the City’s Christmas Tree in Everett Square. Jim and Kristine Reeves, of 81 Chelsea Street, provided the City with an extremely unique gift. The majestic tree, which stands well over 50 feet tall, was donated by the Reeves Family and then adeptly removed from their front yard and erected in Everett Square by the City’s Department of Public Works.  With over 2000 twinkling lights, the tree will be the focal point of this year’s Tree Lighting Ceremony. “I am excited for this year’s event,” states Mayor DeMaria, “We are so grateful to the Reeves family for the amazing tree, and ...

Another Thanksgiving is upon us, a day for schoolboy football, family gatherings, and not much else to do other than enjoy a great dinner that reminds us how fortunate we truly are.
