State Rep. Joe McGonagle reads “The Cat In The Hat” aloud to Ms. Nichol’s 2nd graders at the Whittier School during last Friday’s Dr. Seuss celebration, which brought out dignitaries from Mayor Carlo DeMaria to Attorney General Maura Healey. It was McGonagle’s first time reading to students as the new state representative.

Senator Didomenico Hosting Annual Didomenico Foundation St. Patrick’s Day Roast

Senator Sal DiDomenico will once again be hosting the Annual DiDomenico Foundation St. Patrick’s Day Celebration on March 6, 2015, beginning at 6:30 p.m., at the Bunker Hill Knights of Columbus in Charlestown.  In addition to a traditional Irish dinner, the festivities will include Irish music, step dancers, comedy by Tony V, a bag pipe band, and the annual presentation of the Golden Shamrock Award to a community leader.   Over 70 federal, state, and local elected officials are also expected to attend and several of them will try their favorite St. Patrick’s Day jokes.  Political figures on the speaking program include U.S. Senator Ed Markey, Congressman Mike Capuano, Governor Charlie Baker, Boston Mayor Marty Walsh, Treasurer Deb Goldberg, Attorney General Maura Healey, Auditor Suzanne Bump, and Senate President Stan Rosenberg.  ...
