Obituary: Jane Partis Mccarty

McCarty, Jane Partis Of Medfield passed away peacefully on July 8, at the Chestnut Hill Benevolent Association. She was 83. Jane was the daughter of the late Julia and Edward Partis, and wife of the late Arthur McCarty. Jane was born in Detroit, grew up in Buffalo, and attended Keuka College. She met her husband Art after moving to Boston in 1952. Jane loved living in Medfield and was a resident for 54 years. She was a reporter for the Medfield Press, the first woman chairperson of the Warrant Committee, and a member of the League of Women Voters.
