Obituary: Charles Kenneth Goldrick

GOLDRICK, Charles K. "Ken" 79, went home to God on July 27, 2014. Ken was born in Newton, MA on June 19, 1935, the son of the late Charles D. Goldrick and Mabel Kivlehan Goldrick. He was educated in the Newton Public Schools, graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Newton, and Newton Junior College. After a brief stint in the Army, Ken returned home to Lexington Street in Newton, where he lived with his sister Janet and his mother Mabel until 2003. He worked in various positions in the hotel industry, culminating his career with American Express Travel in Boston. Piccirillo, Mary A. (Campbell) Of Framingham, Age 90, passed July 28, 2014. She was wife of the late George Piccirillo and mother of Joanne Piccirillo with whom she resided and the late Dwight W. Davenport. She also leaves her sister, Jeannine Morelli of Casco, Maine, and numerous nieces and nephews. An overwhelming majority of village residents say they are receptive to the Austin Street lot being developed, but want the project scaled back significantly from what is being considered, according to a survey conducted by the Newtonville Area Council.The survey of 738 residents, employees of village establishments, and commercial property owners also showed that parking is the top concern about the city’s plans to convert the public parking lot into a mixed-income housing and commercial development.
