Obituary: Richard T. Callahan

CALLAHAN, Richard T. Of Norwell, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2014 with his devoted wife and loving daughters by his side. He was 81 years old. The youngest of nine children, Dick grew up in Dorchester in St. Gregory's Parish. He worked at Logan Airport for 32 years as a supply supervisor with Pan Am Airlines, and later as a cargo supervisor with Delta Airlines. Cherished husband for 42 years of Peggy (Morris) Callahan. Proud father of Julie Callahan of Norwell, and Maryluz (Callahan) Greenwood and her husband John of Taunton. Loving grandfather, affectionately known as "Papa", to Tyler Greenwood. Power, James E., Jr. Age 70, recently a resident of New Hampshire and Sint Eustatius (Caribbean Netherlands), passed away on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at a long-term care facility after spending about a year there during the final phases of degenerative illness. He was born in Boston while his father was at sea during World War II. During his childhood, the family moved from an urban apartment complex in Roxbury, MA to a suburban house in Norwell, MA. He enlisted in the Navy after high school. He also pursued electronics trade education in Boston before beginning his career.
