MCCARTHY, Audrey F. (Frye) Of Quincy, died on August 9, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She was the devoted daughter of the late J. Paul and Henrietta Macdonald Frye. Audrey was the treasured wife of the late Charles J. (Charlie) McCarthy. Audrey was the devoted mother of Claire McCarthy Gul of GA, Neil McCarthy of Randolph, Jean McCarthy of Quincy, Paul McCarthy of Mansfield and Anne McCarthy Jacobson of Rockland. She was the cherished Grandma of Colleen, Erin, Shannon, Chloe, Lily, Ross, and Sophie, and much loved Mother-in-law of Mamie, Marianne, Erik and Rahim. Jim was born and raised in Dorchester and was educated in Boston schools. He has lived in Quincy for ten years, previously in Dorchester for most of his life. He was employed as an electrician for Local 103 for over forty years and has been retired many years. Jim served in the U. S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Corduba, AF-32 during the Korean War.
