REWARD FOR ARREST IN DUMPED PUPPIES Salem Saves Animals organization delivered flowers on Tuesday to the spot where two puppies were dumped in a trash bag on the Parkway last Sunday, and offered a $1,000 reward for anyone with information that leads to the prosecution of those responsible. Revere Police are investigating the death of two puppies found in a trash bag behind Sunoco gas station located at 1781 North Shore Rd. on Sunday. The Police were notified by a landscaper of the trash bag  when he returned to the rear of Sunoco on Saturday evening to pick up some bags of leaves he left there the previous day. Another Thanksgiving is upon us, a day for schoolboy football, family gatherings, and not much else to do other than enjoy a great dinner that reminds us how fortunate we truly are. Thanksgiving is a uniquely American holiday, tracing its roots back almost 400 years to the Pilgrims, long before there was even a thought of a United States of America. Thanksgiving is a day of no pressure when no one expects anything of us (other than for the person doing all the cooking!). It lacks the commercialism, religiosity, solemnity, and political overtones of all of our other national holidays. Senior Center has many supporters Dear Editor: The Rossetti-Cowan Senior Center is fortunate to have many “friends” who are extremely supportive of our seniors in Revere. During November, in particular, we were especially ecstatic because some very special people mentioned below. These folks are very special and always willing to give of themselves without reciprocal expectations. Thank you to Mayor Dan Rizzo. He is always attentive to senior needs. Since the July 28th tornado, we have been without heat and air-conditioning units. The state bidding process has been slow and, at times, frustrating.
